Day 21: Company

The rain continues, but today brings human company. Chattering about me, the trio stares at my peeling bark, comments on my buds, and snaps more pictures. As I stay here rooted to my place, I realize that the conversation is quite welcome compared to the previous silence. Could this be the budding of a closer friendship, a sign of growth preceding the coming Spring? I hope so.
